W-B area boy fatally injured in swimming accident at Knoebels

ELYSBURG -  A area boy was fatally injured in a swimming accident this afternoon at Knoebels Amusement Park.

Montour County Coroner Scott Lynn said the investigation is in the preliminary stages.

A statement issued by Knoebels said the boy struck his head while jumping into the Crystal Pool. He was rescued and guards immediately  began CPR. The boy was transported by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
