Kearney, 50, was charged with two counts each of terroristic threats and harassment. He was arraigned by District Judge Martin Kane in Wilkes-Barre and jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for a lack of $40,000 bail.
Police allege that during a phone call with a secretary in Roberts' office, Kearney threatened the lives of Roberts and an undercover drug detective.
Kearney allegedly told the secretary that he was warning Roberts that he was going to be killed in order for the district judge to protect himself, according to arrest papers.
