7 p.m. today

The Coaches: Wallenpaupack's Mark Watson (33-33, 6th year); Crestwood's Greg Myers (43-45, 7th year)

Last Meeting: Crestwood 33-20 in 2001

All-Time Series: Crestwood leads 5-1-1

Quick Fact: The series opened with a scoreless tie in 1976.

Scouting 'Paupack: The Buckhorns trampled Allentown Dieruff 69-28, but it must be noted that Dieruff is among the worst Class 4A programs in the state. Dieruff has lost 33 games in a row, with all but two by lopsided margins.

Wallenpaupack was gutted by graduation and isn't expected to reach last season's seven-win mark. QB Will Hendel is one of the holdovers and has played well. RB John Jones rushed for over 200 yards last week.

Scouting Crestwood: The Comets stopped a two-point conversion in the final minute once again to edge Pittston Area 14-12. Their two wins have come by a combined three points.

Like Wallenpaupack, Crestwood is finding its way after losing a great amount to talent to graduation. WR Kota Kishel brings some experience, but the rest of the skill guys are getting on-the-job training.

What To Expect: This is a difficult game to figure out. Both teams will be better as the season goes on. Which is better right now is anybody's guess.
