The Pardeesville Christian's Association recently donated $1,000 to Weatherly resident John Barna, who is currently awaiting a heart transplant. The money donated will assist his family in any expenses they may incur. The money was raised at the Association's monthly breakfast held in the hall at Faith United Church of Christ off the Airport Beltway in Hazle Township. The next breakfast is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 1 1. Breakfast is $6 per person or $7 for an omelet. All proceeds go to local non-profit organizations.
