Leadership Lackawanna presents “Cocktails and Cuisine…A Cultural Experience”

Leadership Lackawanna, a program of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, will host an upcoming fundraiser.  “Cocktails and Cuisine, a Cultural Experience,” will feature an evening of expertly paired cocktails and food dishes from around the world, along with live music, a silent auction, and door prizes.  The event is set for Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., at the Electric City Trolley Museum in Scranton.

“This event brings together the best liquors from around the world with food pairings from those countries,” said Melissa Ide, co-chair of the Leadership Lackawanna Alumni Committee.  “We’re inviting people to go around the world at the Trolley Museum.”

Event-goers will have the opportunity to sample Stoli Gala Applik vodka from Russia, Herradura tequila from Mexico and Gentleman Jack whiskey from the United States, along with several other liquors from featured countries, courtesy of Capitol Wine and Spirits.  Coopers Seafood House will provide international appetizers for each featured country.  Entertainment will be provided by the Doug Smith Jazz Trio.

Tickets to the event can be purchased in advance through the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce website at www.scrantonchamber.com, or by calling 570.342.7711.  Tickets are $40 per person for general public, and $30 for Leadership Lackawanna Alumni Association.
