For the fourth straight year, Turkey Hill Minit Markets have been named the best convenience stores in the area, after the chain made sure to fill both the stomachs and gas tanks of customers throughout the Wyoming Valley.

Turkey Hill operates numerous stores throughout the area, with eight in Wilkes-Barre alone, and more throughout the Wyoming Valley.

Turkey Hill features a wide variety of food options, including some called “Fresh to Go,” where hungry customers can get sandwiches, burgers and even pizzas designed for every meal.

To make ordering even more convenient, some Turkey Hill locations feature touch-screen ordering, allowing patrons to customize their order, making sure they get their sandwich exactly the way they like it.

Turkey Hill’s signature ice cream, which is made with natural ingredients, can be found in the freezers that line the walls.

Turkey Hill’s Coffee Central and Soda Central let customers quench their thirst any way they’d like, offering numerous fountain and bottled beverages, along with piping hot coffees. More than that, customers have a variety of flavor options to add to their drinks.

But Turkey Hill isn’t just about food. The convenience store chain also has behind-the-counter service for tobacco products and lottery games. Some Turkey Hill locations have RedBox kiosks, allowing patrons to rent a movie while they refuel, and others even have a car washes.

Turkey Hill offers a way to help keep gas costs low, thanks to the company’s Rewards Card program, which allows cardholders to take 3 cents off of each gallon of gas and earn other rewards in store.

Turkey Hill has a long history started in Pennsylvania, being first opened in 1967 in Lancaster by Charles and Emerson Frey. From there, the company has branched out to nearly 300 stores across Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. The vast majority of those stores sell gasoline.

Turkey Hill, headquartered in Manor Township outside Lancaster, is one of five convenience store chains operated by The Kroge Co.
