Nicholas Rauh and Sara Walton were united in marriage on Sept. 10, 2016 at The Apple Tree Terrace, Dallas.
The bride is the daughter of Arthur and Sandra Walton, Plains. Sara is the granddaughter of Daniel Fumanti, Plains and the late Joan Fumanti, and the late Mary and Arthur Walton, of Accrington, England.
Nicholas Rauh is the son of Anita Frank, Wilkes-Barre and the late James Rauh, Wyoming. He is the grandson of the late Joe and Joan Wende and the late Helen and James Rauh, Wyoming.
The bride, escorted by her father, chose her best friend, Brittany Hess, as her maid of honor. bridesmaids were Sarah Mosley, Briana Sebastian, Jordan Britt, Jill Kushner, Courtney Boyle, Jillian Cruz, Rebecca O’Boyle and Jaclyn Ulichney, friends of the bride. Addison Walton and Jordan Rauh, nieces of the couple, were flower girls.
The groom chose his brother, Jonathan Rauh, as his best man. Groomsmen were James Rauh, brother of the groom; Danny and Jason Walton, brothers of the bride; Brian Little, Darren Cheskiewicz, Ross Boyle, Ryan Boyle and Josh Stevens, friends of the groom. Brian Little, groomsman, officiated the outside ceremony.
The rehearsal dinner, held at Leggio’s Restaurant, was hosted by parents of the groom. A bridal shower, hosted by the bridesmaids and bride’s mother, was held at Cooper’s Seafood House, Pittston.
Sara is a 2009 graduate of Coughlin High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree is nursing from Wilkes University. She works as a psychiatric nurse.
Nick is a 2005 graduate of Coughlin High School. He earned a bachelors degree in math with a teaching certification and his masters degree in classroom technology from Wilkes University. He works at Nanticoke High School, teaching math.
The couple honeymooned on a cruise to Bermuda. They reside in Plains.
