Meredith Ann Ripa and Thomas Coleman Farrell were united in marriage May 21, 2016 at the Union League of Philadelphia. The ceremony was performed by The Rev. Mark Smith of The Church of the Holy Trinity, Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia.
The bride is the daughter of Lindsey and Charles Ripa of Plymouth. She is the granddaughter of Celia and the late Charles Ripa Sr., Plymouth; and the late Ruth and John Thomas, Ashley.
The groom is the son of Ann and Thomas Farrell, Sarasota, Florida. He is the grandson of the late Catharine and James Farrell, Carbondale; and the late Mary and Thomas Coleman, Carbondale.
The bride was escorted down the aisle and given in marriage by her father. She chose her sister, Allison Ripa, as maid of honor, and her friend, Jennifer Orens, as bridesmaid.
The groom chose his brothers, James Farrell and Ryan Farrell, as best men.
Avery Farrell, niece of the groom, was the ﬂower girl and George Farrell, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
A cocktail hour and reception were held at the Union League.
In April, the bride was honored at a shower given by her family ad friends at the Irem Country Club, Dallas.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in creative writing from Susquehanna University in 2006. She is employed by the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Glastonbury High School in Connecticut. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Boston College in 2004. He earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut in 2009. He is employed by Core Realty in Philadelphia.
Following a honeymoon to Italy, the couple resides at their home in Roxborough, Philadelphia.
