Lurena Rachel Gimble and Andrew Michael Minnick Jr. united in marriage

Lurena Rachel Gimble and Andrew Michael Minnick Jr. were united in marriage at St. Ignatius of Loyola, Kingston, by Reverend Alex Roche.

The bride is the daughter of Randy and Barbara Gimble, Larksville. She is the granddaughter of Irene and Joseph Gimble, Larksville and the late John and Lurene Dobias.

The groom is the son of Andrew and Joan Minnick, Glen Lyon. He is the grandson of the late Joseph and Dolores Minnick and the late Andrew and Sophie Kmetz.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. The bride chose her sister, Larissa Gimble, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jamie Esgro, Brandy Yeninas, Tara Sokola, Rachael Rovinski and Allison Morcom, all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Riley Morcom, goddaughter of the bride.

The groom chose his brother, Matthew Minnick, as his best man. Groomsmen were, Jonathan Gimble, brother of the bride and Neal McMahon, Stephen Petros, Eric Kravitz and Zachary Pientka, all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Dominick Esgro, V, friend of the bride.

Readings were given by Alyssa Ambosie, friend of the bride and Scott Patton, friend of the groom.

The bride was honored at a bridal shower given by her mother. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom. The couple celebrated with an evening cocktail hour and dinner reception at Via Appia, Taylor.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. In 2007, she earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education and special education from Wilkes University. She attended Wilkes University for graduate school and earned her first master’s degree in education in 2009 and earned her second master’s degree in education in 2011. She is employed by the Northwest Area School District as an elementary life skills teacher.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area High School. In 2008, he earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Temple University. He is employed by the United States Department of Justice.

The couple honeymooned in Oahu and Maui, Hawaii. The couple resides in Courtdale with their dog, LuLu Bella. They are expecting their first child in August 2017.
