Elizabeth Mary Ryan and Michael Edward Archer were united in the sacrament of marriage Oct. 15, 2016 by Fr. Daniel Toomey at Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Theresa Ryan, Dallas. She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Ida Zabinski, Dallas, and Joseph and Katharine Ryan, Forty Fort.
The groom is the son of George and Mary Archer, of Blandon. He is the grandson of Mary Weis and the late Paul Weis, Macungie, and the late George and Lea Archer.
The bride chose her sister, Jessica Cluff, as matron of honor. Her bridesmaids where Elizabeth Johnson, sister of the groom; Mollie Roque, cousin of the bride; Rebecca Williams, Sarah Spero and Emily Curran, all friends of the bride. Flower girls were Colleen Ryan and Jennifer Ryan, cousins of the bride.
The groom chose his friends Jake Hill and Brennan Miller as best men. Groomsmen were Joshua Ryan, brother of the bride; Adam Flickinger, Michael Scesa, Alex Connor, all friends of the groom. Ring bearers were Hunter Roque and Ben Jenkins, cousins of the bride.
Jack Ryan, Godfather of the bride, and John Weis, uncle of the groom, gave the readings at the ceremony. Katharine Ryan, grandmother of the bride, gave the general intercessions. The offertory procession was done by Joey Ryan, Jake Buzin and Julie Schwartz, cousins of the bride. Greeters were Erika Jenkins, Kate Buzin, Sarah Buzin and Vanessa Ryan, cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, yard games, a hot chocolate/cocktail hour and reception were held at the JCC camp, in Dallas. Guests were welcome to stay the night in cabins, RV’s and tents. The next morning a brunch was hosted at the Ryan home, in Dallas.
The bride was honored at a bridal shower given by her mother, sister, grandmother, aunts, mother of the groom and bridesmaids at Lake Jean in Rickett’s Glen State Park.
The parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner at Jonathan’s, Harveys Lake.
Beth is a graduate of Bishop O’Reilly High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Scranton and her master’s degree in dance movement therapy from Drexel University. She is employed by Cradles to Crayons, Conshohocken.
Mike is a graduate of Fleetwood High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University. He is employed as a business analyst in Philadelphia.
The couple celebrated with a honeymoon trip to the Pacific Northwest. They reside in south Philadelphia with their two cats, Bruce and Andre’.
