Officials: Body found Tuesday related to Carlisle Street investigation

WILKES-BARRE — A body found earlier this week in the wooded area behind Host Inn on Kidder Street is related to the weeks-long investigation on Carlisle Street where human remains were found in the basement, investigators announced Thursday.

Investigation of Baltimore bridge collapse picks up speed as divers recover 2 bodies from water

BALTIMORE — The cargo ship that lost power and crashed into a bridge in Baltimore underwent “routine engine maintenance” in the port beforehand, the U.S. Coast Guard said Wednesday, as divers recovered the bodies of two of six workers who plunged into the water. The others were presumed dead, and officials said search efforts had been exhausted.
