Majors Joe and Vicki White are celebrating 50 years of marriage. They served a combined 73- years as ministers in the Salvation Army, retiring from the ministry in 2008. They currently reside in Ravenna, Ohio, near their two children, Chris and Joseph. They also have a 2- year- old great-grandson named Luke.

Chris lives with her husband, Steve, and their son, Matt, in Streetsboro, Ohio. Her daughter, Steffhy, and her husband, Dana, live in Ravenna, Ohio, with their son, Luke.

Son, Joseph, lives in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, with his wife Merrie, and their two sons, JJ and Jared.

After graduating from GAR High School Joe served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966. After basic training in Texas, he was assigned to McGuire Air Vase, in New Jersey, then served at Clark Air Base in the Philippines from 1964 to 1966. Also, prior to his ministry, he worked as a type setter and pressman for Mebane Printing, in Wilkes-Barre.

They plan a weekend getaway to celebrate at Olgebay Resort, in West Virginia, and upon returning home they plan a celebration service celebrating their past 50- years together with the exchange of wedding rings to be held Aug. 20 at the Salvation Army in Akron, Ohio.
