Mr. and Mrs. Thomas V. Amico, Kingston Township, celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Aug. 6, 2017. They were married Aug. 6, 1977, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter, by Reverend Lawrence Pio and spent their honeymoon in Bermuda. First meeting at Wyoming Area High School in 1970, the couple continued their education and their relationship.

Mr. Amico, son of the late Louis and Sara Amico, graduated from the University of Scranton. He currently serves as the president and CEO of Landmark Bank, Pittston. Mrs. Amico is the former Leah Galli, daughter of the late Leo and Josephine Galli. Leah graduated from Marywood University and is stay at home mother and wife. They are the parents of three children, T.J., Stacia (husband Kevin Arnaud), and LeighAnn; all local. They also have two grandchildren, Sheldon and Loretta Arnaud.

The wedding party they chose consisted of family and friends. Maid of honor was Ann Marie (Bolin) Lawrence, and matron of honor was Gail (Galli) Abromovage. Bridesmaids were Lucille (Amico) Bruyneel, Margaret (Butera) Grimes and Joan (Fino) Cilaberto. Heather (Abromovage) Williams was flower girl. Joseph Montione served as best man. Ushers were Bruce Galli, Joseph Dente, Jay Freid and Jeff Freid. Joseph Guinta served as ring bearer.

Tom and Leah celebrated their special anniversary with their children, grandchildren, family and friends who all gathered locally in honor of them. The couple will continue their celebration with a trip to Hawaii in the spring.
