The Janiczeks recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. They were married Feb. 8, 1973 by Justice of the Peace William f. Howell and the Holy Sacrament on Sept. 21, 1991 by the late Monsignor Bernard A. Toloczko at Holy Trinity Church, now St. Faustina Parish in Naticoke.

Matron of honor Mrs. Linda Marie Walkowiak and best man John Paul Janiczek witnessed the ceremony.

Mrs. Loretta Janiczek, daughter of the late Stephen and Stella Romanowski, graduated from Nanticoke High School and received her registered nurse’s degree from Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Nanticoke State General Hospital. She has a daughter, Linda (husband David), of Dallas; and two granddaughters, Jaclyn Moser, of Chicago, Ill.; and Lindsey Sears (husband Will), of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Mr. Leo Ronald Janiczek, son of the late Anna and Leopold Janiczek, graduated from Nanticoke High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Liquid Carbonic in Laurel Run. He has two sons, John (wife Lisa); three grandsons, Dr. Jonathan Janiczek (wife Alexa), Jeffrey and Nathan. His son Mark (wife Molly) has two children, Alexandra and Andrew.
