Mrs. DiRoberto is the former Macrina Benny. She was born and raised in Kingston, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Benny. She was on the nursing staff of the Visiting Nurse Association for 33 years before retiring in 2005.

Mr. DiRoberto was formerly from Wyoming and Forty Fort. He was the son of the late Dominick and Margarette DiRoberto. He retired from the Social Security Administration as a program analyst in 2007 after 34 years of service.

The couple has one daughter, Lisa Tower, and her husband, Paul, and one grandson, Jacob Tower.

They celebrated their occasion with a dinner for immediate family, hosted by their daughter at Agolino’s Restaurant in West Pittston.

On July 10, the couple will participate in the Jubilarian Wedding Anniversary Mass of the Scranton Diocese at St. Peter’s Cathedral, at which time they will renew their marriage commitment.
