Mr. and Mrs. James B. Post III, of Hanover Township, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 8, 2018. They were married June 8, 1968 at Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke. The Rev. Walter Poplawski performed the double-ring ceremony and celebrated the Nuptial Mass. The Rev. Richard Yost of the Methodist Church of Shavertown participated in the service and imparted his personal blessing.
Mrs. Joyce Post is the daughter of the late Ceilia and Leonard Stigora, of Nanticoke. Mr. James Post is the son of the late Helen and James B. Post Jr., of Dallas. They have two sons, Dr. James B. IV (Saretha), of New York City, and Jerry (Shai), of Mountain Top, and a daughter, Jody Lada (Steve), of Wilkes-Barre. They also have four grandchildren: James B. Post V and Jessica, New York, and Abigail and Alexander, Mountain Top.
Mr. Post is the retired president of Post Fuel, Wilkes-Barre, Lubeco Inc. and Parkway Storage, Hanover Township. Mrs. Post is a retired registered laboratory technician and worked at the Red Cross Blood Center, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wyoming Valley Hospital and NPW Geisinger Medical Center.
The couple hosted a celebration with family and friends at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
