Karen and David Hughes ,of White-Haven, will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary on July 18, 2018. They were married by the Rev. Richard Kakareka in St. Stanislaus Church in Nanticoke.
Mrs. Hughes is the former Karen Piontkowski, daughter of Theresa Piontkowski and the late Edward “Boone” Piontkowski, of the Honey Pot section of Nanticoke. She is a graduate of John S. Fine Senior High School and Luzerne County Community College. She is a nurse manager at Surgical Specialists of Wyoming Valley, Plains Township, and a nurse supervisor at Mountain Top Senior Care, Mountain Top.
Mr. Hughes is the son of Rosalie Hughes and the late Thomas Hughes, of Sandy Valley, White Haven. He is a graduate of Crestwood High School. He is employed as a pro associate at The Home Depot in Wilkes-Barre.
The couple lives in White Haven. A beach vacation will celebrate the occasion.
