Woman faces DUI
charges after crash
Police anticipate charging a city woman with drunken driving after she was
injured in a one-car crash early Saturday.
Angela M. Wesley, 28, of 258 Lee Park Ave., was eastbound on Horton Street
near Barney Street at 12:01 a.m. when she swerved off the road and crashed
into a tree, police said. She was treated at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and
released. She will be charged, pending blood-alcohol content test results,
police said.

Man charged with
drunken driving
An Alden man was arrested and charged with drunken driving after Sgt.
Michael Kasper saw him weaving between lanes on South Pennsylvania Avenue near
Hazle Avenue at 2 a.m. Saturday, police said.
Assalaam Wilson, 22, failed a field sobriety test and was taken to
Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and submitted to a blood-alcohol content test
and drug screening. He was arrested, processed and released to a friend,
police said.
