Sarah “Sally” M. Thoma, 85, of Horton Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Sunday at
Mercy Hospital in the Hospice Community Care Unit.
Born July 10, 1917, in Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late
Joseph and Mary (Maloney) Kelly. She was a member of St. Aloysius Roman
Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; infant son, Joseph;
brothers, Joseph and Aloysius.
Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Koprowski, Hanover Township; Jayne
Evans, Trucksville, Kingston Township; sons, Charles “Chuck” and Kenneth,
Wilkes-Barre; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral
Home Inc., 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9
a.m. in St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
