Roland V. Pellegrini, 80, of Plains Township, died Monday at Wesley
Village, Jenkins Township.
Born in Plains Township, he was a son of the late Joseph and Josephine
(Parlanti) Pellegrini. He graduated from Plains Memorial High School. He
served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in the Military Police in
Japan and the Philippines. He worked as produce manager for Bonnices Market,
Forty Fort. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Plains Township, and the
Plains American Legion, Joseph E. Conlon Post 558.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Louise Filippini;
granddaughters, Amy Marie and Melissa Mudlock; and brother, Louis.
Surviving are his daughters, Doreen Behmke, Toms River, N.J.; Donna
Mudlock, Laflin; Dolores Seprish, Plains Township; four granddaughters;
sisters, Mary Barbacci, Plains Township; Vera Ostroski, Ashley; brother,
Joseph, Exeter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday from the Corcoran Funeral Home,
20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be in Italian Independent Cemetery,
West Wyoming.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wesley Village,
Jenkins Township.
