I WOULD LIKE to thank Pennsylvania State Police for the excellent job they
are doing to combat crime. OK, so we have some unsolved murders, drugs are
starting to run rampant in the area, Northeastern Pennsylvania, but the state
police took a very dangerous and probably a highly expensive job and shut down
a couple of massage parlors which are very dangerous, so that’s why I’d like
to commend them.
I WOULD LIKE to ask all the veterans’ organizations that have bars in their
clubs to stop selling French wine or French liquor to support the United
States.
I WOULD LIKE to know the status of the Back Mountain Police regionalization
study, are the Dallas Township and the Dallas Borough Police going to combine?
We haven’t heard anything from the politicians in the Back Mountain. Please
let us know, we need better police service, a merger would be great.
ON TODAY’S FRONT Page “City OKs loan for bond cost” and McGroarty wasn’t
even at the meeting. Now if anything goes wrong he can always say he had
nothing to do with the loan, that he wasn’t even at the meeting. True politics
Tom, true boy.
YOU KNOW ALL the fuss the council made about not taking out another TAN
loan to pay one that was already taken out, they made a fuss, it sounded good,
it sounded like well finally someone’s going to try to straighten out the city
and they turn around and they take out the loan anyway, what was that a bunch
of show, Leighton?
DO YOU KNOW what the problem is with this country? They don’t hire the
right people. I’m looking at the paper here the other day county to pay out
$100,000 settlement. Then I remember here July 18th, 2002, county faces suit
for leaving building, $542,500 lawsuit against Luzerne County, was it ever
paid? And then we got this here ex-convict wins case against prison $255,000,
two officials of Luzerne County retaliated against Robert Gudzinski. You’re
talking a million dollars just about and you wonder where the money is going?
You better get qualified people, I’m sick of giving my money to taxes for this
to be paying suits because people can’t do their jobs. Get rid of them.
THE CHIEF OF police in Nuangola talks a good game but his promise for a
police athletic league has never materialized, maybe we should stick him down
in that theater project in Wilkes-Barre.
WE WERE ALL touched by the girl that got the wrong heart transplant the
first time and was operated on the second time and passed away. But the other
side of the coin is this girl was an illegal alien and she got the organ
transplants not once but twice. Think about it.
THIS IS A message to my fellow taxpayers, please and I emphasize please, if
you’re not registered to vote, please get registered by April the 18th, you
can have the form sent to your home, all you have to do is call the Luzerne
County Voters Bureau at 825-1715, and they will send you a form or two forms.
But please if you ever register to vote and wanted to vote to change things
you’ve got to do it by the 18th of April. And encourage your young 17 1/2- and
18-year-old kids to vote and get active in politics.
I’M JUST WONDERING why Ashley Borough police chief and mayor are out
soliciting for $2,700 for an AED that they could have had for free from
Wyoming Valley Healthcare through the American Heart Association. Now they are
buying them through the American Heart Association because the mayor said not
in my police car. Well now they’re mandatory, now they need two, now it’s
going to cost $5,400 of taxpayer money.
