Well, every day and almost every waking hour our fearless leader, President
George “Dubya” Bush, and his minions bombard us (excuse the pun) about
Saddam, evil Iraq and their weapons of mass destruction.

While Saddam is a terrible person who deserves to be replaced, I can’t
believe how this administration has carefully orchestrated this crisis, both
here at home and abroad. I’d say the 60 percent who favor this war have been
successfully whipped into a frenzy by Bush. They probably support it as long
as it’s not their husband, son or daughter, or grandchild who is being put in
harm’s way. I wonder how many family members of these war hawks will be
serving.
What is the threat here for America? Does Iraq have hidden intercontinental
ballistic missiles capable of carrying the nukes they don’t even possess about
12,000 miles to our shores? Could Iraq attack us on the eastern coast? Why
wouldn’t our ex-governor Tom Ridge and his Homeland Security department
prevent this? I’d say with all those colored alerts he could do it!

Then, where is Osama and Mullah Omar, how about al-Qaida? Maybe we can also
plan our attack on North Korea and Iran now just so we are ready and don’t get
bogged down in stuff with the UN and our allies.

Convenient that all this takes everyone’s attention off of the terrible
economy, the thousands who lost and will lose jobs, our need for true health
care reform and protecting the environment.

Do you think Carl Rove and the advisers have a plan here? Hey, I think I
heard about some Roman emperor, Nero, I think. He played his fiddle while Rome
burned. Do you see any similarities?
