TO ALL YOU Eagles fans, I hope you’re watching the news and seeing all your
players going to other teams. Your Super Bowl wish was dashed by Ronde Barber.
It’s all over. Go, ‘Boys.

I SEE WHERE the city of Scranton sold their golf course up there and got a
nice buck for it. Now, Mayor McNut ought to take the hint and make those
freeloaders and political hacks up at the Wilkes-Barre Muni pay their own way.
TO THE FLYERS fan who thinks the Penguins suck. First, the Pittsburgh
Penguins are not mathematically out of the race. Making it is doubtful, but
they’re still a good hockey team. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are on
the road to the playoffs and are also a good hockey team. I enjoy the Flyers
also, but I wouldn’t say they suck because they aren’t my favorite team. The
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are a local team. All the coverage and more is
greatly appreciated by all the local fans.

I’M CALLING TO agree with the Flyers fan about the coverage. I think you
should give the Flyers as much coverage as possible right now because
everybody knows after the first round of the playoffs, they’re going to be
playing golf because they suck.

TO ALL YOU people out there that were bashing the Eagles, saying they’re a
bad team. Well, if they’re so bad, why is everybody out there trying to get
their players to come to their teams to make their teams better? And for the
Cowboys, why in the world would you get rid of your best player, Emmitt Smith?
The guy still has a couple good years left in him. Dallas, you’re going
nowhere – 5-11 again and that spoiled Tuna.

I’M CALLING ABOUT the person who said there are more Flyers fans than Pens
fans. Well, I guess they must fill the arena with dummies, because it’s always
filled. And why would you have the Flyers as your top story when the Pens are
our home team, and they don’t suck. That person is an idiot who said that.

THE CALL ABOUT Abington Heights playing at the University of Scranton being
neutral. Obviously, if a northern team up here is the top seed, it usually
goes to a site up here. If Hazleton was the No. 1 seed, it probably would have
been played at Kings or Wilkes or Misericordia. The other thing is Abington
had no practice time at all on the University of Scranton court. Thirdly, the
other comment he made about Hazleton being very strong and that Abington will
have a tough time getting past the first or second round of the states. Well,
obviously some of these teams down in the Philly area and other areas are very
strong.

I’M CALLING ABOUT those three GAR basketball players – two of them were
starters and stars – who were involved in that accident in Forty Fort. …
This coach for the basketball team should suspend these players from the team.
If they are not seniors, they should not be allowed to go out for the team at
all next year or the rest of their years at GAR High School. I think the GAR
athletic director should meet with the superintendent and some discipline
should be taken.
