Ruth C. (Zawatski) Hiskar, 71, of Coal Street, Plymouth, died Monday at the
Valley Crest Nursing Home, Plains Township.
   
Born Dec. 17, 1931, in Plymouth, she was a daughter of the late Frank and
Clara (Mazur) Zawatski. She was a 1949 graduate of Plymouth High School and
was employed by Keystone Garment, Edwardsville; Vanda Beauty Cosmetics; Dundee
Shopping Center; Eastern Laundromatic Appliance Services, Wilkes-Barre; and Ed
Media Tech., Ashley, until retiring. She was a member of St. Mary’s-St.
Stephen’s Church Community, Plymouth, and was a member of the Colorettes
Bowling League for many years. She was a member of the General Federation of
Women’s Club, Plymouth.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil M.
   
Surviving are her daughter, Denise Evans, Plymouth; three grandchildren;
two great-granddaughters; sister, Dorothy Smith, Plymouth; and a niece.
   
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday from the S.J. Grontkowski
Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9
a.m. at St. Mary’s Nativity Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery,
Plymouth Township.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. A prayer service will
be held today.
   
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Nativity Church, Plymouth.
