Man hurt in crash
    on Interstate 80
   

   
A man was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 80 West at 4:20 a.m.
Wednesday, state police said.
   
The man, whose identity had not been released Wednesday night pending
notification of family, missed a right-hand curve near mile point 251. He
crashed through the guide rails, across the eastbound lanes and down an
embankment. His truck caught fire before he was thrown from it. He was taken
to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville for treatment of major injuries,
including burns.
   
State police in Hazleton handled the crash and were assisted by six area
fire departments.
