William Sugalski

Dr. William N. Sugalski, 74, of Tilbury Terrace, West Nanticoke, died
Wednesday at Hospice Community Care Unit at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born May 28, 1928, in Newport Township, he was a son of the late Bruno and
Tillie (Kuroski) Sugalski. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh
and the University of Pittsburgh Dental School. He was a U.S. Air Force
veteran, serving as a 1st lieutenant in the 11th Airborne. He operated a
dental practice in Nanticoke for many years and was on the staff at Mercy
Health Care Center, Sheatown, and Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was a
member of St. Francis Church, Nanticoke, and the Luzerne County Dental
Association.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ellie Dugan; son, William T., West
Nanticoke; daughter, Mary Murtha, Nanticoke; three grandchildren; sister,
Dolores Zawacki, Whippany, N.J.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Earl W. Lohman
Funeral Home, 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9
a.m. at St. Francis Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover
Township.
friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Make A Wish
Foundation, St. Francis Church, Nanticoke, or to a charity of the donor’s
choice.
