Catherine Khost

    Catherine M. Khost, 92, of Greenwood Hills Drive, Mountain Top, died
Wednesday at the Inpatient Unit at Hospice Care of the VNA at Heritage House,
Wilkes-Barre.
   
Born April 25, 1910, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late
Richard and Josephine (Vesenjak) Kovacsevics. She was educated in New York
schools and attended Pratt University. She was a member of St. Jude’s Roman
Catholic Church, Mountain Top.
   
She was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Richard and George Kovac;
sisters, Marie and Claire Kovacsevics, Josephine Zappulla, Pauline Barnes and
Helene Kovac.
   
Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Henry P.; son, Henry P. Jr.,
Caldwell, N.J.; daughter, Mary Ann Keirans, Mountain Top, with whom she
resided; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, John Kovac,
Canyon County, Calif.; Thomas Kovacs, Briarwood, N.Y.
   
A memorial funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday from St. Jude’s Roman
Catholic Church, South Mountain Boulevard, Mountain Top, with the Rev. Paul M.
Mullen and Permanent Deacon Rev. Eugene Kovatch officiating. Interment will be
in Calvary Cemetery, Drums, Butler Township.
   
Friends may call from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the John V. Morris-Charles
V. Leagus Funeral Home, 281 E. Northampton St., Wilkes-Barre.
   
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of the
VNA, Wilkes-Barre.
