Earl Louis Mitchell, 75, of South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday
at Summit Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre.
   
Born April 20, 1927, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Edward John
and Nina Esther (Williams) Mitchell. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War
II and was employed by Faye Shoe Co. and later at Murray Complex. He was a
member of Firwood United Methodist Church.
    He was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Thompson and Helen Bishop;
and brothers, Edward and Charles.
   
Surviving are sister, Mary Ellen Stankiewicz, Ashley; brother, Robert,
Louisiana, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at the family’s convenience with the Rev. Bette
Poe, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Franklin
Township
   
Arrangements are by the Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
