Catherine C. Chopak, 77, of Zerbey Avenue, Kingston, died Friday at Hospice
Community Care Inpatient Unit at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Edwardsville, she was a daughter of the late George and Catherine
(Reynolds) Jones. She was a foster grandparent with the Wyoming Valley West
School District.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter S.; daughters, Susan Chopak
and Carol Ann Germak; and sister, Myra Jones.
Surviving are daughters, Catherine Yaletsko, Wilkes-Barre; Mary Golden,
Edwardsville; Sheila Patton, Noxen; sons, Peter, Edwardsville; Daniel, at
home; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Kopicki Funeral Home,
263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St.
Ann’s Chapel, Kingston. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
