Mary Boyanowski

    Mary A. (Kozak) Boyanowski, 86, formerly of Avoca, died Friday at Moses
Taylor Hospital, Scranton.
   
Born Sept. 26, 1916, in Avoca, she was a daughter of the late John and
Caroline (Turek) Kozak. She was employed by Lori Fashions, Avoca and Pittston
Apparel, for many years. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Church and its
Altar and Rosary Society, Avoca and the International Ladies Garment Workers
Union 295.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel J.; son, John Boyanoski;
brothers, Benjamin and Michael.
   
Surviving are sons, Emanuel J. Boyanoski, Scranton; Leonard Boyanoski, Old
Forge; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph, Avoca;
sister, Julia O’Hop, Avoca; and nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Kniffen O’Malley Funeral
Home Inc., 728 Main St., Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
at SS. Peter & Paul Church, with the Rev. Joseph Elston, officiating.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Moosic.
   
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A Christian wake service will be
at 4:30 p.m.
