I CALLED SALLY Healey yesterday to complain about heroin being sold on
(name of street deleted) in Wilkes-Barre, and boy I’ll tell you did she work
quick, because this morning at 8 o’clock this morning the Wilkes-Barre police
were taking her out, they took her out in handcuffs. The dogs went in and they
pulled her out. I have two more addresses … so watch out, Wilkes-Barre,
because I’m going to turn you all in. I hate heroin or anything that has to do
with you type of people. Keep up the good work, Wilkes-Barre police.

I HEARD THAT the new president of LCC College is going to have her
inauguration. I’m just wondering, where are they going to get the money from
for this extravaganza? Are they getting it from the taxpayer money or the
money certified for their foundation? I wish you would look into this.
I THINK THE members of the Kingston Township Road Department should get a
big job well done for the wonderful job they’ve done keeping the roads open in
Kingston Township.

AS ONE OF the few business owners left in Nanticoke, I would like to take
this time to thank the city workers for removing the snow by my place of
business, as I’m sure other people are grateful, too. They worked hard and
long hours to remove snow throughout the town for everyone who they could get
to in time to help with the snow removal. Once again, thank you.

AFTER LISTENING TO numerous modern renderings of our national anthem, it
would not be inappropriate to change its title to the “Star Strangled Banner.”

OK, HERE’S A question for you? Is it Iraq as in “rock” or Iraq as in
“rack?” You hear the commentators say it one way, you hear Dubya say it
another. Which is correct?

CONCERNING DALLAS BOROUGH police chief and the mayor. There wasn’t any
skirmish when the former mayor was in office who is now deceased and
everything was working smoothly. How come we have these big-city problems now
suddenly political or permanent?

I’M LISTENING TO my scanner, I live in Wilkes-Barre city, and I’d like to
say there must be a push on by Wilkes-Barre City Police Chief Anthony George
for the Wilkes-Barre city patrol units to keep making traffic stop violations.
I wish Chief George and Mayor McGroarty would put the emphasis on the drug
dealers in this city and raiding these drug houses like they’re doing on the
traffic violations.

I’M AFRAID THAT President Bush is not very good at hiding his personal
animosity for Saddam Hussein. A president can’t afford to use his power as
president to conduct a vendetta against the head of another state. He’s trying
to sign us up for years and decades maybe of supervising, invading, all for
one man. We’re not falling for it, George W.

WE ALL KNOW Stubbs. … We should have a short meeting to decide and then
execute him. There are enough problems in this world without focusing on him.
We’d be much better off without him. And I don’t see why he should get life
imprisonment because Pennsylvania shouldn’t have to house him for the rest of
his worthless life. I think a lot of people feel this way.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Is a feeling enough to justify a killing? Wouldn’t a trial
be a better move?

TIMES LEADER, I don’t know if you reported in your paper or not, but did
Mayor McGroarty get any money from the golf course this year? Or did the
politicians use it for their green fees, food and drink?
