COACHES AND ADMINISTRATORS, do the right thing. Sit those GAR kids down.

I DON’T KNOW why they charge $6 to see a high school boys basketball game
for adults, yet I can go see King’s College play for $5. Now I know why the
gyms are half empty.
I AGREE WITH Lane Filler’s premise but not with his conclusions regarding
the athletes from GAR. He said he has no problem with the coach if the kids
play ball. In my own way of thinking, I always digress to, what would Joe
Paterno do? I don’t believe he would play them in the game. It’s a lesson
hard-learned.

IT’S NICE TO see Steve Mytch doing so well down in Pleasant Valley. His
father was run out of town at Valley West because of a few crybaby wrestlers.
Typical Valley West politics. Bring back Bob Herman and Gary Evans to get that
program back to where it was in the late ’70s and early ’80s.

I’M JUST CALLING to find out what Ted Tryba’s status is for this year?

THIS IS IN response to the editor on the Whitney Bull situation. I’m sure
there are other very good students on the Freedom Conference women’s
basketball team, but they’re not up for the Jostens Award. Guess why? Because
they’re not as good a player as Whitney Bull. Against the top three teams in
the conference – Scranton, King’s and DeSales – Whitney averaged 18 points and
16 rebounds. Case closed. It’s actually a travesty she’s not on the first
team.
