Naomi Jamieson

Naomi Jamieson, 90, of Carlisle Street, Wilkes-Barre and Wesley Village
Retirement Center, Jenkins Township, died Friday in Mercy Hospital,
Wilkes-Barre.
Born Sept. 6, 1912, in Seattle, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and
Estella (Evans) Davis. She graduated from Pittston High School and Temple
University. She was a teacher for Pittston Hospital; College Misericordia,
where she was assistant nursing professor; and Wilkes College. She was a
member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre, and past president of
its women’s association. She was a board member of the Lehigh Presbyterial
Association, American Association of University Women, the Wyoming Valley
Women’s Club and the Irem Temple Women’s Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hector.
Surviving are her son, Gilbert, Annandale, Va.; daughter, Anne Taylor,
Dover, Del.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home,
509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, with the Rev. Wesley Kemp officiating.
Interment will be in Mountain View Burial Park, Harding.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time Monday.
Memorial donations may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or Wesley
Village Retirement Center.
