NOTES AND QUOTES

SCRATCHES: C Shane Endicott was a healthy scratch for the Penguins. He had
been hampered by an ear infection earlier in the week, then practiced on
Thursday and Friday. Head coach Glenn Patrick, however, didn’t feel that
Endicott was 100 percent yet and as a result scratched him.

MIXED RECEPTION: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton G Jean-Sebastien Aubin heard some
boos when he was introduced as the starter, as he expected he would. He made
some less-than-complimentary remarks about the city when he was sent here from
Pittsburgh during the 1999-2000 season, the last time he was here before being
sent down by Pittsburgh a week-and-a-half ago. However, Aubin seemed to
quickly win over the fans with an outstanding glove save midway through the
first period. He was strong overall in goal, as all three goals against him
were the result of excellently placed shots.

THREE STARS: 1. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton C Toby Petersen, two goals; 2.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton C Michal Sivek, 2 goals, plus-2; 3.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton G Jean-Sebastien Aubin, stopped 30 of 33 shots.
