Looking for a way to wrap up those dreary winter days and nights and push
forth into spring with some encouragement from a page-turning tale?
Try reading “The Buffalo Soldier” by Chris Bohjalian, author of the
bestseller “Midwives,” as part of the Times Leader Community Book Club.
Bohjalian will come to the area on March 27 to meet and greet readers and
sign copies of “The Buffalo Soldier,” which was published last year and is
now in paperback. Set in Vermont, the book tells the story of the Sheldons,
who are struck by the death of their twin daughters and the 10-year-old
foster-care boy who comes into their life at a moment of great change.
Bohjalian will meet with high school and college students from 3:30 to 4:30
p.m. at the Tudor Book Shop & Cafe in Kingston. Advance registration is
needed. The book discussion begins at 7 p.m. at Wyoming Seminary’s Buckingham
Performing Arts Center on Sprague Avenue in Kingston. Admission is free.
“The Buffalo Soldier” is being sold at a discount at the Tudor Book Shop
& Cafe, which co-sponsors the TLC Book Club with the Times Leader.
