The sites and times for second-round PIAA basketball games involving Wyoming
Valley Conference teams have been set.
   
Three WVC teams will be in action Tuesday.
    In a Class A boys game, District 2 champion Bishop O’Reilly (19-9) plays
District 11 runner-up Pottsville Nativity (21-6) at 7:30 p.m. at Hazleton Area
High School. Tickets for that game will be on sale from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today at
the main office of Bishop O’Reilly, located on North Maple Avenue in Kingston.
Tickets for all PIAA games cost $6 for adults and $3 for students.
   
In a doubleheader at Martz Hall in Pottsville, the District 2 Class 2A
runner-up Meyers girls (26-3) face District 4 champion Southern Columbia
(21-7) at 6 p.m., and the District 2 Class 3A runner-up Meyers boys play
District 1 champion Harriton (24-4) at 7:30 p.m.
   
Meyers High School will be running a bus trip to the doubleheader. For
information and cost, call the high school office at 826-7145 from 8:15 a.m.-
4 p.m. today. Reservations must be made by 4 p.m. today.
   
Two WVC girls teams will be in action Wednesday in Class 3A matchups.
   
District 2 champion Dallas (23-5) plays District 1 runner-up Nazareth
Academy (20-8) at 7:30 p.m. at Parkland High School. District 2 runner-up
Bishop Hoban (25-3) faces District 1 third-seed Villa Maria (24-2) at 6 p.m.
at Martz Hall in Pottsville.
   
Tickets for the Dallas game will be on sale from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today at
the high school’s athletic office. Also, there will be a bus trip to the game.
Cost is $10, and fans can call 674-7257 for information.
   
Hazleton Area High School will also host a doubleheader on Wednesday.
   
Forest City and Marian Catholic play in a Class A girls game at 6 p.m.,
followed by a Class 2A boys game between Wyalusing Valley and York Catholic.
