Marie Yozviak

Marie Yozviak, 93, a resident of the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas, died
Monday.
Born in Luzerne, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Roach)
McGroarty. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Church, Shavertown; the General
Foundation of Women’s Clubs of Hanover Township; and the Dallas and Mercy
Center Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; infant son, James; and
sister, Gertrude Bonner.
Surviving are daughters, Marie Borton, Harveys Lake; Janise Borton, Center
Moreland; sons, Donald M., Oakton, Va.; Michael Jr., Hanover Township; nine
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte McGroarty, Dallas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Theresa’s
Church, Shavertown. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover
Township.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the
church.
Memorial donations may be made to Meadows Nursing Center Auxiliary, Dallas.
Arrangements are by the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., Luzerne.
