Mary J. Glawe, 86, of Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday at the Inpatient Unit of
Hospice Community Care, Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
   
Born Jan. 30, 1917, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Charles
and Mildred (Cook) Traplo. She attended GAR High School, Wilkes-Barre and was
employed by the Hub, McCrory’s and the Boston Store, all of Wilkes-Barre. She
was a member of St. Nicholas Church and its Altar and Rosary Society,
Wilkes-Barre.
    She was preceded in death by her sister, Vera Turner.
   
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Edward, Hanover Township; son,
Douglas, Hanover Township; daughter, Pam Fantaskey, Wilkes-Barre; two
grandchildren; sisters, Josephine Zoeller and Norma Witzigman, both of South
Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Corcoran Funeral Home,
20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
at St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary’s
Cemetery, Hanover Township.
   
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Ave., Kingston.
