Man facing charges
    in lottery incident
   
Police said an Exeter man will face a charge of receiving stolen property
after he tried to cash stolen lottery tickets at a city business Tuesday.
   
James T. Supchak of Schooley Avenue tried to cash lottery tickets at the
Anthracite Newsstand at 1 E. Market St. at 11:17 a.m., police said. They had
been stolen from Pierce Drug at Pierce Street and Gates Avenue in Kingston.
The clerk was alerted to the problem when they were run through the system and
contacted police. Supchak was taken to the Wilkes-Barre police headquarters,
processed and released.

Televisions stolen
   
at appliance shop
   
Three televisions, including a 27-inch Sharp, were stolen Tuesday morning
from Electron TV & Furniture, police said. The front door of the business at
410 Hazle Ave. was forced open about 1:20 a.m.

Police investigate
   
gun theft at home
   
Police are investigating the theft of a pistol from a Stanton Street home
between Saturday and Monday. The Hi-Point C-9 9 mm pistol was taken between 11
p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Monday from the residence of Robin Lefort. The
pistol is black with a 4-inch barrel.

Police locate car
   
stolen in Scranton
   
Police recovered a stolen car Monday morning in the 600 block of North
Franklin Street, police said. Officer Joseph Mangan located the 2002
Mitsubishi Galant at 8:39 a.m.
