Frank Sorokach, 54, of Ashley, is running for re-election to the Hanover
Area School Board in the May primary election. He has been a member of the
board for 12 years and is a member of the Ashley Planning Commission.
Sorokach, cross-filed on the Republican and Democratic ballots, is plant
manager of Bertel’s Can Co. in Hanover Industrial Estates. He chairs the
athletics committee and serves on the building and grounds committee. He has
also served on the negotiating committee.
   
Sorokach and his wife have four children and are members of St. Leo’s
Parish.Linda O’Boyle Zaneski of Edwardsville has announced her candidacy for
Edwardsville Borough Council as a Democrat for the upcoming May primary
election. She is a graduate of Wilkes University and is a registered nurse
with a certification in gerontological nursing. She completed the certificate
program for nursing home administrators at the University of Scranton and
earned a master’s degree in health care administration from Wilkes. She is a
licensed nursing home administrator for Wyoming Valley Health Care System’s
transitional care unit at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.Tony Gagliardi of the
Lee Park section of Hanover Township has announced he will run for re-election
to the Hanover Area School Board in the May primary election. He is
cross-filed and seeks nominations on the Republican and Democratic tickets. A
lifelong resident of the township, he has been employed at Castrol Lubricants
in Hanover Industrial Estates for the past 20 years, according to his press
release. He served on the board’s building-and-grounds and transportation
committees for the last two years. He is a founder and board member of Hanover
Area Youth Soccer and has coached Lee Park Little League for the past 13
years. Gagliardi is also a past member of the Saint Aloysius School Board and
a member of the parish. He and his wife have six children, all of whom attend
Hanover Area schools.The Friends of Karen Holly will hold a fund-raiser
cocktail reception from 7 to 9 p.m. on March 20 at The Cafe (formerly
Pic-A-Deli’s) on Route 315 in Plains Township. It will be an evening of music,

    O’Boyle Zaneski was Miss Pennsylvania in 1991 and won a talent award and
community service award in the Miss America Pageant. She and her husband have
two children. They are co-owners of Bernardo’s Pizza in Edwardsville.
