Irvin Siswein

    Irvin B. Siswein, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Scranton and West
Pittston, died Tuesday at the Sunrise Health & Rehabilitation Center, Sunrise,
Fla.
   
Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late George and Irene (Silverstein)
Siswein. He was employed by Siswein Furniture, Shenandoah; Home Furniture and
Ufberg Furniture, both of Scranton.
   
He was preceded in death by brothers, Harold, William, Reuben and Joseph;
and sister, Miriam August.
   
Surviving are his wife, the former Lillian Davis; stepsons, Barry Dickson,
East Chester, N.Y.; Lowell Dickson, Irvine, Calif.; a grandson; brother,
Herbert, and sister, Rose Kandill, both of Shenandoah; and several nieces and
nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at noon Friday from the Ziman Funeral Home Inc.,
612 Gibson St., Scranton, with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating. Interment will
be in West Pittston Jewish Cemetery.
   
Shiva will be observed from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the residence of Herman
Davis, 520 Clay Ave., Apt. 202, Scranton.
   
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
   
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services Friday.
   
Arrangements are by the Ziman Funeral Home Inc., Scranton.
