Theresa Brown

Theresa S. Brown, of Yatesville, died Wednesday at Hospice Community Care,
Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Sept. 22, 1934, in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore
and Louise (DeForte) Ferrara. She attended Pittston High School and was a
member of the First United Methodist Church of Pittston, where she served as
the vice president of the Couples Club. She was a member of the Wyoming Valley
Women’s Bowling Association.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Alfonso; sister, Fay Coniglio.
Surviving are husband, George; sons, George Jr., West Wyoming; Robert,
Pittston; three grandchildren; sisters, Sara Wench, Exeter; Mary Ardiere,
Pittston; Grace Ardiere, West Wyoming; Ann Haefner, Harding; Carmella Janiga,
Port Blanchard; twin sister, Rose Kolativa, Wilkes-Barre; and several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Howell-Lussi Funeral
Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, with the Rev. Harriet Santos
officiating. Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Forty Fort.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of
Pittston.
