Albin Puza

    Albin E. Puza, 86, of Wyoming and Ormond Beach, Fla., died Thursday at
Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
   
Born Nov. 10, 1916, in Coal Township, he was a son of the late Frank and
Mary (Andrejczak) Puza. He was a 1935 graduate of Coal Township High School
and the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World
War II, serving in China, India and Burma with the Army’s Criminal
Investigation Division. He was employed by the Pennsylvania State Police for
many years and was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston, the Fraternal
Order of Police, Wyoming, the American Legion Post 621, Ormond Beach, Fla. and
the Retired Pennsylvania State Troopers Association.
   
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Marian Parenzan;
second wife, Edith Rowles; sister, Rose Berent; brothers, Frank and Edward.
   
Surviving are daughters, Nancy O’Malley, Kingston; Karen Fessler,
Hughesville; two grandchildren; sister, Clare Leiher, Tucson, Ariz.; brother,
Jerome, Coatsville; and nieces and nephews.
   
Private funeral services will be held at the family’s convenience.
Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coal Township.
   
There will be no calling hours.
   
Arrangements are by the Maher-Collins Funeral Home, Kingston.
