Alice Youngblood

    Alice Youngblood, 82, of Heisz Street, Edwardsville, died Thursday at the
Hospice of the VNA of Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
   
Born March 8, 1921, in Lansing, Mich., she was a daughter of the late
Alexander and Josephine Skrzypkowski. She attended Kingston High School and
was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston. She served as an Edwardsville
Democratic Committeewoman.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P.; sister, Blanche
Mikulka; and brothers, Charles, Stanley and Joseph.
   
Surviving are a daughter, Alice Majeski, Edwardsville; son, James A.,
Courtdale; five grandchildren; sister, Bernadine Hudzik, Edwardsville; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral
Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
at St. Ann’s Chapel, Kingston. Interment will be in Fern Knoll Cemetery,
Dallas.
   
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
   
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the
donor’s choice.
