Dennis L. Manjone, 60, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and
uncle, died Friday morning following a lengthy illness at his residence in
Zion Grove.
   
Born in Weston, July 19, 1942, he was the son of the late Leonard and Anna
(Foose) Manjone. An art instructor, he was retired from the Hazleton Area
School District. He taught at the Sheppton and Nuremburg Elementary Schools as
well as Rock Glen and West Hazleton Jr. High School. Additionally, he taught
at the Hazleton Art League and was also a private art instructor. After
retiring from teaching, he was employed as a millwright and furniture
craftsman for Hazle Builders of Hazleton. He was a graduate of the
Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, where he was bestowed the Cresson Traveling
Scholarship to Europe. He also studied art under the direction of Julius
Bloch. He held bachelor’s and master’s degrees from College Misericordia. An
avid outdoors man, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, farming and working
with horses. He was a member of the Shenandoah Fish and Game Club and served
as the adviser to the Hunting and Fishing Club while teaching at Rock Glen Jr.
High School.
    Surviving are his wife, Robin (Antolick) Manjone, four children, Thomas,
Sugarloaf; Melissa Manjone, Weston; Dennis Jr., Weston; Danielle Manjone,
Hazleton; three grandchildren, Dennis III, Brooke and Dante’ Manjone; a
sister, Ann Manjone-Marsilio, Sugarloaf; a nephew, Andy Marsilio and his
former wife, Norma (Miller) Manjone, Weston.
   
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3 to 7 p.m. at the
Mark S. Harman Funeral Home, (West) Conyngham-Rock Glen Road. Interment will
take place at the convenience of the family.
