Mary Williams

    Mary E. ”Mollie” Williams, of Vine Street, Pittston, died Friday at the
Kindred Care at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
   
Born March 29, 1913, in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late William
N. and Mary (Eaton) Williams. She was a graduate of Pittston High School and
was employed by Josie Tigue’s Shop and Gompertz Dry Goods, Pittston. She also
worked for Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Wilkes-Barre. She was a
member of the First Baptist Church and its choir, Pittston, its Ladies Aid
Society and Mission Circle. She served as the church benevolence secretary.
She was a member of the Baptist Women of Pittston and the Cambrian Club.
   
She was preceded in death by brother, Robert E.
   
Surviving are several cousins.
   
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday from the Howell-Lussi Funeral
home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, with the Rev. Donald Weltmer and Rev.
Charles Capper, officiating. Interment will be in Pittston Cemetery.
   
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services Monday.
   
Memorial donations may be sent to the First Baptist Church, Pittston.
