Stereo equipment worth about $1,825 was stole from a vehicle parked at
Stanton Lanes bowling alley Friday, police said. A rear window of the vehicle,
owned by Christopher Pratz of Trucksville, was smashed during the theft.

home burglary
   
Police are investigating a burglary Thursday on Hazle Avenue during which
about $8,300 in jewelry was stolen. The residence of Sam Toney was burglarized
during daylight, police said.

W-B man cited with drunken driving
   
A Mayock Street man was arrested after police say he drove home drunk.
Stephen Roesky, 42, passed stop signs, one at East Sidney and North Washington
streets, the other at North Washington and East Main streets, before driving
home about 2:40 a.m. Friday, police said. He was arrested there on evidence of
drunken driving after failing a field sobriety test. He submitted to blood
alcohol testing at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and was released to a
relative, police said.

woman with DUI
   
Police arrested a Reno Lane woman after she was seen driving on a sidewalk
at High and Parrish streets about 2:27 a.m. Thursday. Tawanda Maddox was
charged with drunken driving after a blood alcohol test was performed at
Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, police said.
