WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins released their clear-day
roster on Friday.
The roster consists of the 22 players (20 skaters and two goaltenders) who
are eligible to compete for the Penguins during the remaining three weeks of
the American Hockey League regular season and in the Calder Cup playoffs,
unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.
The Penguins’ clear-day roster consists of two goaltenders: Jean-Sebastien
Aubin and Sebastien Caron; six defensemen: Brendan Buckley, Micki DuPont, Ross
Lupaschuk, Brooks Orpik, Darcy Robinson, and Rob Scuderi; and 14 forwards:
Colby Armstrong, Kris Beech, Alexandre Daigle, Shane Endicott, Matt Hussey,
Konstantin Koltsov, Tom Kostopoulos, Milan Kraft, Guillaume Lefebvre, Eric
Meloche, Matt Murley, Toby Petersen, Michal Sivek and Tomas Surovy.
In addition to those players, the Penguins have two players – right wing
Jason MacDonald and goaltender Robbie Tallas – listed as “In Residence.”
Under emergency conditions (if playing strength drops below 18 skaters or
two goaltenders because of injuries or recalls), the Penguins may add players
to their postseason roster from their “In Residence” list.
With four players (Caron, Lefebvre, Meloche and Surovy) on recall to the
Pittsburgh Penguins, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton added MacDonald and Tallas to their
current roster under emergency circumstances.
