    Hannah R. Alper, 91, of Wilkes-Barre, died Friday in Pittston.
   
Born Jan. 15, 1912, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Max and
Rose (Miller) Robin. She was a graduate of GAR High School and was employed as
a personnel manager for Lazarus Department Store. She was a member of the
Jewish Community Center and its Leisure Lounge, where she held several
offices. She was a member of the former United Orthodox Synagogue,
Congregation Ohav Zedek, Wilkes-Barre and other civic and religious
organizations.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; sister, Gladys Gevanthor;
and brother, Isadore Robin.
   
Surviving are her son, Dr. Max Victor Alper, New York; daughter, Joan
Bukavich, Bound Brook, N.J.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
   
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today from the Rosenberg Funeral
Chapel, 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Meir Rosenberg officiating.
Interment will be in Anshe Sfard Cemetery, Dallas.
   
Shiva will be observed at the Woodlands Inn & Resort, Route 315,
Wilkes-Barre, from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
