Arena Bar and Grill
The drinking and dining establishment has opened at 531 Scott St.,
Wilkes-Barre.
Michael Theodore, the owner, has nearly two decades experience in the bar
and restaurant business.
Arena Bar and Grill specializes in imported beers and freshly prepared
dishes that are part of a diverse menu. Daily selections include hand-cut
steaks, filet mignon stuffed with bleu cheese, Angus beef burgers, gourmet
pizzas, pastas and homemade appetizers.
The bar features 18 beers on draft, which rotate weekly, as well as more
than 100 international craft beers and specialty cocktails.
The hours are 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Wednesday-Sunday. Meals are available until
midnight. Happy hour is available weekdays from 5 to 7 p.m.

Mainstay Suites
The Waterfront Complex in Plains Township will open an 80-room hotel later
this year.
Mainstay Suites is part of the Choice Hotels International chain. The local
franchise will be owned and operated by the owners of the Waterfront Bar and
Grill and Banquet and Convention Center.
The hotel is the final phase of the Waterfront project.
In addition, the Waterfront has expanded its original facilities.
The additions include extra restrooms to accommodate growing crowds; Club
670, a dance club which opened in November; and a covered deck with outside
bar.

May’s Cattie Shack
The Arctic Cat-brand all-terrain vehicle and generator dealer has opened
for business.
Garry May, owner of the Cattie Shack, also owns May’s Auto Service, an auto
repair service center open 16 years.
May’s Cattie Shack is located at 18 Sweet Valley Road, Muhlenburg Corners,
Hunlock Creek. That address also is home to May’s Auto Service.
The Cattie Shack includes a full showroom with Arctic Cat ATVs on display
and an ATV repair facility.
The hours are 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and 9
a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

Mary’s Kreations
Owner Mary Bartos has developed a line of pewter heirloom ornaments that
are now being sold at Bridal Trinkets in Shavertown.
The ornaments may be engraved. Each comes with a card appropriate for a
special occasion.
